Need motivation to apply to college?

Monroe College in New Rochelle loves Latino students and their multi-cultural heritage. La Mega will be there on today to provide an extra boost of enthusiasm for the expected 750 Latino high school students from throughout Metro New York and New jersey who will be checking out the campus, its apartment-style housing, its incredible new athletic center and, oh yeah, its job-oriented degrees. The day starts with a dynamic motivational presentation by author, reporter, educator and college application expert, Miguel Montes. Performance artist “La Bruja” will be dishing out her usual doses of tough love, Spanglish humor, rapping rhymes and rhythm. And once she gets her audience up on their feet, they’re gonna want to stay there when Tropical Image and its incredibly hot salsa performers take the stage. But this is a by-invitation event, only! So if you want to come, contact Anthony Camacho a acamacho@monroecollege.edu, 914-740-6848. Save the date: A special, bi-lingual Open House for Spanish-speaking parents and high school seniors, Wednesday, November 7th, from 5:45 pm – 7:45 PM, Monroe College Office of Admissions, 370 Main St., New Rochelle. RSVP: Mr. Camacho.
